Margie's Homemade Bread

(Better Bread for Sandwiches!)




2 cups wholewheat Eureka flour

1 cup white bread flour

1 tsp Goldstar instant yeast

1 ½ tsp salt

3 tbps sunflower seeds / mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame etc)

1 tbsp sugar

1 tbsp vinegar

2 cups lukewarm water



  1. Mix dry ingredients well. 

  2. Add vinegar to lukewarm water and add to dry mixture.

  3. Stir with wooden spoon.

  4. Cover with a wet tea towel, and leave mixture to rise (in a warm place out of direct sunlight) for an hour until double in size. 

  5. Transfer to your bread tin, and leave to rise again for another hour.

  6. Bake for about 55 minutes in an oven heated to 180 degrees Celsius.
